ramhorn pipe size?
im about to attempt my first mani and see a lot of people getting there weld els from mcmaster but the only sizes i see in 1.5"sch 40 are 1.5 and 2.5" length wich to me looks like too small of a diameter for a ram horn.
can some one please correct me if im wrong and/or give me the right size and where to buy. (i have searched thats why im asking for help)
oh and since this is my first attempt im sticking with mild steel and i have a bmc race b series premium flange machined for 1.5" sch 40

as per my first post, im looking for MILD steel and i know people are always recomending mcmaster i just need the bend radius size confirmed, cuz the picture of what they have looks too small.
if i went with tubing instead, what size o.d. would i need to match the same od of 1.5" sch 40 pipe? and what wall thickness would be recomended?

There are two types of 90° pipe size elbows available today. There are the standard "long radius" and then the much more expensive and harder to come by "short radius". Most likely the standard long radius will work fine for your application.
Dimensions
1.5" sch40 long radius 90° elbow:
1.9" OD x .145" wall thickness
Centerline Radius/Height: 2.250"
1.5" sch40 short radius 90° elbow:
1.9" OD x .145" wall thickness
Centerline Radius/Height: 1.5"
Hope this helps a bit,

.109" thick
Sch10 in mild steel is available, however it is a "taper bore" sch10 and not a true sch10 like what's available in stainless. They are expensive and not worth it, IMO.
