go there and try and figure out what kind of CEL code your car is reading. and then we can go from there

Yeah you were not too detailed, Also the topic title didnt really
state the problem or question.
What he is saying is, ( the 1st guy who might not understand)
the CEL light within the Gauge cluster is lighting up and it flashes 10 times.
and then it pauses and repeats.
This is whats called code flashing.
The # of flashes means something.
For example, 9 flashes on my obd0 SIR-I B16 means TPS sensor,
To the OP, Just search for what ECU codes you need to know for what ecu you have.
then take the 10, and see whats up.
Problem fixed.

the maintance required light just means that its time for like a regularly scheduled maintance type thing.. it comes on every few thousand miles or so... put more miles on it and it will stay on constantly... it just means take it in for a check-up... there's a button by the pedals that you can press to make it go away... now your other problem is separate and you should get it checked out. I read this in the manual so dont let anyone tell you otherwise. the check engine light is what comes on when theres a problem, not maintance required.

Is it the "Maintenance required" light or the Check engine light?? There is a big difference between the two.

Yea, but it would make no sense if the CEL was just flashing out of nowhere without him jumping the connector and trying to pull the code.

take the panel under the steering column off and look under the right side. You will see a black button. Hold the button down and turn the key to the on position. This will reset the maint req light. Its just a basic reminder to do things like oil changes at specific mileages on your car. Its nothing to worry about and doesnt mean your car is going down hill or there is any problems
CEL (check engine light) on the other hand is a signal that there is a problem with a certain part of your car. You can find out what by pulling the code
