Did you bother to check the CEL?

We can't help you find the problem if you don't tell us what the problem is.

Get any water in your intake if you have one? Breather hose/filter? Did you cover up your distibuter cap? I had a cylinder miss fire because of stupidity like that.

Yeah, wetting the distributor is not a good thing.

yeah, I've never had a problem. I use the black magic stuff. It shines, cleans, and you dont have to cover electrical stuff.

WHY WERE YOU USING BRAKE CLEANER?!!!!!!!!! you know how bad that stuff is for paint or anything plastic/rubber?

All your gaskets, or anything else plastic/rubber under hood will probably deteriorate really badly from it.

Never spray degreaser on your alternator either. Make sure you cover your intake and distributor cap too and cover any electrical connections

That's an oxygen sensor code. Oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction or voltage too low/high. That's what happens when you spray a sensor with water and short it.

THe same thing happened to me a couple months ago. I cleaned my engine with brake cleaner and simple green. Turned on the car and CEL came on. It was for the O2 sensor and said I was running rich. Reseted the ECU and it never came back on.

ther are two on the exhaust side one cnnected to your exhaust mainfold and one to the catylitic converter ther is also one on the intake air box I believe or in the log somewhere. You are most likely going to have to replace the O2 sensor which ever one it may be what year is your car if its ODB2 your going to need a wideband go to a local junkyard and see if a lower end civic has its O2 sensors still in it if so take them all. If you cant get one there your going to be paying an assload at honda or MIGHT get lucky and find them up for grabs on H-T.
