Default 2-way Remote Problem... viper 5000...

Okay last year i installed a viper 5000,

it works, and still works.. saved my car once...

still have my car..

only thing is the 2-way remote doesn't notify me anything.

how i found out...

doing some regular maintenance.. tire rotation... lifted the car.. alarm goes off.. remote doesn't beep...

odd thing is, the 2-way locks/unlocks and then tells me it does this... and if someone trips a zone, and i disarm the remote tells me that that zone was tripped...

i'm really confused...

also my remote didn't beep the last time when a kid hit my car when he fell off his bike... the car suffered some surface scuffs on the bumper.. but its fine...
also when this happened i could disarm and lock the car from my current location... so it wasn't out of range... the car is parked right outside my window... so yeah.. not out of range..

wtf is going on?

Where did you ground the alarm? Have you checked to make sure that the antenna connection is secure on both the antenna and the alarm brain itself?

Did you unprogram it from checking with the car?

it is secure on one end, ant

but on the brain i dunno, haven't had the time to check.. brain takes some time to get to...

now how do you unprogram the remote from checking with the car?

cause i dunno, i've changed the batteries once... and its been dropped a few times.. but i don't think that is the problem..

if i did unprogram the remote from checking, how do i reprogram it?

Get a replacement remote and see if that solves the problem.
