Default vtec qustion

ok i advanced my timing with timing light. Everything works good and performing good , but one problem. I noticed my 1st gear does not hit vtec strong. Second gear it hits better i think but not first. I just seems to make lots no noise and seems like it is working but no pull. Anyone got any reason why this might be happing.?

change your oil
clean vtec solenoid

your prolly worrying about this because you dont feel the kick as much. This is a good thing. It means you likely gained some midrange.

Yea, you most likely are pulling harder from low to high so you dont feel it kick as much because it's faster all around....But yea change your oil (Of course)...And I would suggest using premium gas (Reduces sludge and makes your engine run longer)

no idle just little higher nothing that makes car run bad just first gear does not hit as hard. I did gain low end speed just when hit the vtec it not engaging.

Butt dynos are unreliable.

They're probably right, you gained some low-midrange and don't feel the kick as much due to that.
