WAIT....Seafoam on the bumper....NO!

The residue on the bumper is probably oil or you are running really rich.

Extend the exhaust tip so it sticks out more. Or bend it down.

No, they mean Seafoam in your vacuum line and crankcase, possibly your gas tank to burn away carbon deposits.

Is that really going to stop the build-up on the bumper?

I wanted to get it straight for the OP.

the z6 is a vtec motor and i know when vtec cracks it does turn your bumper a lil bit black. seafoam sounds right also.

Exactly use seafoam to clean up carbon deposits internally. My Buddy uses some high industrial wax but not sure how long it lasts for.

um, extend exhuast, easy as that, or bend down just like dude said. Ive never had that problem and my cars sucks down fuel being bosoted. oh, and engine had 175k miles. not gonna be carbon build up just cause its 100K miles old, if you rev the **** outa them every day like most people do, there is no carbon build up, pistons wont be silver no more, but aint no damn carbon build up...its coming from fuel more than likely....or burning oil.
