#11. You can buy the whole set, or buy separate ones if you know exactly what thickness you need.

BTW, which final drive did you go with? Also, update with driving impression after installation.

i am going with the 4.77's from kia (mazda made)... so am i correct with the parts that am going to need... how exactly do i know which one i am going to need. Those parts are cheap, but buying the whole kit seems very expensive if i am only going to be using one of the many that i end up buying...
Some people do all the bearings but I personally wouldn't unless I knew they were bad. According to the helms you should replace the locknut, crush sleeve and an oil seal also. I would say you could prob get away without doing the oil seal but the others I would do. As for the shims you can't really tell which you need until you have it apart and then it's kind of trial and error. You might get away with ordering a bunch around the standard one. I wanna go with the 4.77s also but I drive on the highway ALOT and I think I may get annoyed.
edit:
heres some part#'s:
crush sleeve: 41271-PCZ-003
lock nut: 90201-PCZ-003
oil seal: 91201-PCZ-003
