What I suggest is go to advance auto and get this stuff it says guaranteed to pass emisions and pour it into a full tank of gas, run that out then fill up and run your car threw the test. Its worked for me everytime.

I don't know how much that stuff costs, but this year when my car wouldn't pass, the smog dude told me to put a gallon of denatured alchohol in the gas tank, it cost $12 at a paint store and my teg passed with flying colors........

Depends where you live - if you have to pass visual in your area, then the hole in your cat will likely cause failure.

u live in CA! i would replace it cuz it wont pass. dont buy a crappy one either cuz ull find another hole in that one sooner or later too. they are chaeper if u have an obd-I car. i bought a high flow like 6mo ago for my obd-I teg for about 120. obd-II is in the 2oo range cuz the extra sensor. if u use any fuel additives/octane booster with a crappy cat it will damage it because of the excessive heat after just one use! hope this helped
