Default SI Transmission Question

I just want to know if is my SI or if is a factory problem. When I'm driving (and I'm talking of normal driving...) Sometimes the shift **** gets stuck when entering to the third gear. What can you people say me about that.? Any info will be appreciated.

I've had that problem too. Like it gets caught and u know it could still go further. Don't let go of the clutch immediately. If it still doesn't go in then I just pull it back to neutral and do it again. It seems like it soo much smoother going straight in instead of the angle. 2nd to 3rd can be iffy but downshifting from 4th to 3rd seems soo much smoother. Is that like what you're experiencing? Just shift a little slower maybe. It could just be 'lazy shifting'

This is a common problem with the 6 speed manuals. I had this problem as well. I replaced my MTF with the newer Honda MTF and I have not had the problem since.

If you do a search, you will find many threads on this subject. You can also find the part number for the fluid I am talking about.

Mine does the same thing.

Question- If I change the tranny fluid will it void the warranty?

It'll void it just as fast as changing motor oil does.

Seriously, this topic is covered every week and there have been more threads on this one topic alone than any other issue. its even in the sticky at the top of the page.

Get the new Honda Manual Transmission fluid. If that doesnt help bring it into the dealer if its that bad.
