here's the before, very dull (see the last pic), this was after claybarring it a little bit. had words written with CHALK - it was a bitch to remove:

the ONLY way the writing could be removed is to wetsand, even a claybar couldn't get it off. i wetsanded with 2000grit, removed all the chalk, and was left with this:

after wetsanding, claybar'd the hood, then proceeded to apply with my PC- Meguiars M83 x4, M80 x3, M21 x2 and these are the results:

took me and my friend about 3hrs to finish the hood ALONE, still have to do most of the car, this car has never been detailed/claybar'd and it's getting a makeover, here's the passenger quarter panel:

and this is the car before the detail process (you can see how bad the hood looked):

hood wasn't perfect to begin with, this hood went up and smashed the windshield due to bad hood hinges, that's why it's dented. sucks but it'll do for now, for this meet we're going to this weekend in TN.

hood looks good btw, is the first pic with just clay baring?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yeah, clay helped to get rid of a lot of the dullness. see the last pic for how my friend had the hood before, very dull/oxidized.
thanks for the comments.
