bought a set of 2ct's 3 days before the recall, bought them online and retailer said to go through loacl shop to avoid both sides paying shipping costs. Called local bike shop they said they will replace it with a regular pilot power I don't know whether I want to have to 2 different compounds that and I paid the extra amount for the 2ct's taking the less expensive tire would be a loss for me. Main point will having 2 compounds affect cornering?

 

did your 2ct's have the markings that mean they need to be recalled? Not all have to be recalled and some pilot powers had the same issue.

 

yeah the tire I got was part of the recall. I was aware that it included the regular pliot power.

 

You should get what you paid for.

The lcoal shop is unable to replace it with a non-defective 2CT?

Yes I agree. No they can't replace it with non defective the stock (limited as it was) they had on hand all fell under the recall same with the online retailer I called recently and they were starting their 5th pallet of recall's Don't know how much longer I can wait I need a new front don't want to go down on something as simple as this. Contemplating returning to online retailer and getting some pirelli's

 

Could you get the store-credit for the 2CT and apply that towards a tire purchase? That way you're not losing money by accepting a cheaper, lower-spec tire.
