How to Install Short-Ram Air Intake? (I've used the search already)
Can someone give me pictures or diagrams or a detailed explanation on how to install a Short-Ram Air Intake? I don't know which bolts to take out and all these wiring on the stock, etc. I have a 99 Prelude VTiR. H22ZI. The short-ram i bought is a AEM V2.
well basically take out all the components that go with the stock airbox. then put in the new intake tighten ur couplers and connect the hose from intake to valve cover.
What I did was, I removed the stock plastic intake box....But I left the tube that feeds the cold air into the engine bay,.....There is an aluminum coupler that keeps the plastic intake tube on the intake manifold (Thing behind the valve cover if you didn't know) Usually the coupler has a philips head end, or a 10mm nut on the end that tightens it.....Simply loosen it up, and slide the tube off.....Now there are metal tubes that come out of the valve cover that go in the intake....On the ram air intake tube usually it comes with expansion pieces that go from the stock tubes to the new intake....simply slide the new intake on and tighten the couplers, and put the filter on (duh) lol.....Maybe that kinda helped....or confused the hell out of you.
