Default Air conditioning Retrofit R-12 to R134a

I bought a kit from EZ Chill, planning on swapping it on my 94 Teg.. has anyone done this? Good idea or keep it R-12 and find shop that recharges that?

nobody is going to have any r-12 anymore - there are replacements for r-12 like hotshot and mp-39 which I use a lot in comercial refrigerators but have never seen it used in cars. r-12 uses mineral oil - hotshot can use mineral oil also but mp-39 works best with alkybenzene oil. r-134a is also a direct replacement for r-12 but the only problem is it needs polyolester oil so your compressor doesn't take a **** - some guys just charge there cars with r134a and don't give a **** about the oil but I would take the compressor out drain the oil into measuring can and then add back into the compressor whatever you took out but with polyolester oil.
