Default new dyno results.. b16 84mm 8.3:1

so i hit the dyno yest. again after i rebuilt my motor. i added JE pistons, eagle rods, arp bolts, acl bearings, stage 2 clutch by exedy w/ flywheel, balanced rotary assm, darton sleeved, head was stock, dnt recall which turbo it was but i got it off ebay. ( i knw i knw but i am upgrading to gt35r soon! so dnt tell me about it k!) kept the 450cc injectors.

so the best run we got was 293.78 maxWHP. 195.82 ftlbs torque. ryan from tech3 said i need bigger injectors to raise boost and hp. so we decided to tune it back down to 8 pounds and got 235.32 WHP and 196.72 torque. its a lot less then others because pistons are 8.3:1. will be upgrading to 1000cc injectors and valve springs and retainers and re-tuning soon. should get 350HP or so wit a lil more boost.

BIG THANKS to ryan who stayed late to finish the tune. had many problems b4 we culd get it on the dyno and he stayed even tho his wife was pregnant waiting with him.. highly appreciate everyone from tech3. anyone lookin for a tune in nor-cal you shuld see them. very friendly and always go out of there way to help you with your set up!

why use sumthin a lil bigger now and den later wen i decide to go higher change them again? makes sense to use 1000cc now so ill be good for later upgrades which i will be doing in the future.

wen i first got the 450cc there wasnt any plans to upgrade anytime soon. wen thru downtime and rebuilt the motor so now its capabile of more so plans have changed .. i will be gettin the gt35r soon but need to save up for that. will be changin to the gt35r, new ac/ps comp. manifold. new intercooler piping and by the time i get that i will have the 1000cc injectors put in. valve springs and retainers in as well. doin it step by step.

why didnt you keep it at 295? 450cc's are perfect for that level....also, why is your compression so low?

culdnt keep it at 295 becuz not enough fuel for high rpms. and thru bad advice and me not knwin much bout pistons at the time of purchase i was led towards them but i can work around that and its not that bad. jus wit my new injectors ryan said i wuld be in the 300's on 8 pounds.

way less compression takes more boost to make power, higher compression takes less boost to make power

yeah with that set up you need much bigger injectors and much more boost... i'd run 400-450whp on that set up! i just picked up some pistons with 8:1 c/r so don't feel bad. i got them very cheap with some crower rods so expletive it. it allows for more boost !

yeah man 2 is great! it doesnt really depend on stages tho. becuz exedy stage 2 might be another compnays stage 3 or even different. they are all rated by torque. i asked around b4 i got mines and exedy stage 2 is perfect for my set up.

you will need more boost to make more power though, just cause the injectors are bigger doesn't mean more power

lol yeah of course i knw that... i cant boost higher now cuz not enough fuel to support the boost.. so once i get the bigger injectors i can push up the boost.
