Default Any way to respray little spots?

I tried washing my car myself today and used anything we had in the kitchen.
i used something called Nixon 7 metal polish and now i think its starting to cause my paint to chip or something cause it has little spots of something like rust. so im thinking of respraying the little spots with something any ideas?

rust is like cancer, you gota remove it to prevent it from spreading...painting over rust will hide it, but it will still grow underneath...maybe im wrong but im pretty sure thats what i heard chip foose say on his tv show one time...

lol metal polish?...dude do you have any common sense? you coulda went to pepboys and bought some 5 dollar jug of car wash or something. My advice....if you are washing your car with metal polish....stay away from trying to paint it.

hahaha...metal polish. I'm an auto detailer part time and I use Eureka supplies to do my type s. You should prolly go out and get mguires cleaning supplies, it still sucks but some people think its good. As for the metal polish thing, go and buy some degreaser and wash your car with it, and then dry it and put a coat of wax on it, dont let that metal polish stuff sit on the car. Degreaser should pull it all off. Next time go to the car wash and wash and dry you car and then detail it with supplies.
