Default Paint Fading

I might be buying a car with sponsor vinyl's on it. Will there be any residue or any paint color difference behind the vinyls? Don't they peel off pretty easily. I know vinyls haven't been on for more than 2 years.
Thanks

there may be some residue left, but just use some thinner to get rid of that. if there is any sort of fading (which isn't very likely), to bring back the original color on the rest of the car that wasn't under the vinyls, you would do some sort of buffing process, it all depends on the paint that was used. if it's typical base/clear with enough time to have fully cured, you can always just wetsand lightly with 2000 grit and buff the panels smooth. that should take away any discoloration of the clear. either that or just a good ol' wax job. i'd try that first actually.
