Rear Discs...Once Again
Searched but i couldn't find exactly the answer i'm lookin for..
5th Gen Talk .. Mine is a `94
it's been established that if rear discs were desired, you could go to the EX and "get them" .. with that being said i'm asking if you just need the lower assembly as in the rotors, hub assemblies, wheel bearings etc etc. OR are you supposed to tackle it in one swipe and drag the trailing arms out with everything else?
(haynes manual sittting in front of me, felt i would ask yall first)
and if all is good after that, Rotor-Over-Hub Conv. would be a good thing to knock out after that, yea?

either way will work.
You can get just the knuckle assemblies (rotor, caliper arm, caliper, hub/bearing, ect.) and just swap that out.
Or you can get the trailing arms and control arms with the knuckle assemblies and swap those as well. Some say it's easier that way. I never had to do that (95 EX) so I can't say which is the easier way to go.

i think i'll keep my trailing arms because that's one thing i can say about my car, i have probably 7% visible rust, and thats on removable parts..small paint chips ..etc etc. no body rust...next honda for me = 97 ex coupe

Well you can use the lx hubs that had the abs option. the main diff is the rear sway-bar mounts. Now if you already have the lx or dx, or just want to use an after-market sway-bar, like the ST which is thicker then the stock ex, any way you don't have to worry about it.
Yes it is true that the parking break cable is different from the drum to the ball and screw design on the rear rotors, but as long as you get the right cable you should be fine.

take it to PM's, this is not the place to sell stuff.

i'm pretty sure most states have LKQ's ... that's the most common place for salvage parts around here. there isn't a write up on this conversion is there?

it is so much easier to go to the junkyard, snag the whole rear crossmeber, than you have everything, you can unbolt the parts off, or just swap in the whole deal, but if i remember you do need the trailing arms for the swaybar, i have a progress one and it will not work with the drum brakes, its hard to say i did the suspension so long ago. the important thing is that your brake lines are located slightly diff. with the drum brakes, but a stainless kit and some thinking solves that problem real quick
