How do you know you've gotten water in the cylinders?

So earlier it was raining real bad and I to run to the store for something. Well on my way home theres this area on the highway that puddles real deep (about a half of foot all the way across the highway). It had stopped raining for a while so I figured it had dried up. Well I was driving home and I didn't notice the puddle till it was too late and SPLASH. I hit it hard but the car never killed so I slowly drove through it. Well a few seconds down the road it started bogging down real bad and popping like it was missing on one cylinder. I wasn't far from home so I drove the rest of the way. Well I turn on to my street and it starts to barely move. I had it floored and it was only at about 2,000rpms and then it killed. I turned the key back to the off position and tried to start it again but all it would do is turn over. I turned it over a few times while giving it some gas and it did nothing but pop a few times. I'm hoping a I just fouled the plugs and flooded the cylinder with gas, so I'm going to change the plugs tomorrow morning. And if it makes any difference, I have a 92 Si H23 with a SHORT ram intake and not cold air.
You can pull the spark plugs and get a rag in there to check for water...also pull your look at your wires while they're off and see if there's any water seeping through the rubber grommets.

Well I was in a real hurry to get to a party so I pulled all the spark plug boots out and there was no water above the plugs. Thats was the first thing I checked because it misfired real bad once when I degrease the engine and water got under the boot. I made sure none of the plug wires were disconnected. Is the easiest way to drain the cylinders just to pull all the plugs out and turn it over with a tower over the valve cover? Or should I pull the fuel pump relay and turn it a few times?
