FOR YOUR GENERAL QUESTION I GIVE YOU GENERAL INFO.

Either can used. the lower ratio allows for more imperfection in the tune, or bad gas etc...

i myself like around the 10.0 area for a little more low end power/drivablility.

If you never want to go over 10psi then do 9.8:1 If not then go with the 9.0. I think you should go with 9.0:1

riiight cause that makes sense. cause if you boost 11psi on 9.8:1 compression your engine will melt and you will leave a trail of molten aluminum behind you. c'mon dude thats horrible misinformation.

anyways, its gonna come down to personal preference. lower compression will reduce cylinder pressures and is generally safer on forced induction applications. but we have all seen people make good numbers on high compression (ex: tony the tiger)

no one gave stupid comments. i think we have been overly helpful since this is a topic that has been covered many times and could have easily been answered with a good search.

That was my personal info....i never said it would melt the pistons or anything else. I wouldnt go with a higher compression just cause you can run more boost and not have a difficult time tuning. I have seen motors with 11:1 comp run boost with good numbers on low boost. I just dont know why you would do that. Thats my personal opinon
