Default Motor swap

i have a 99 civic EX. I"m dropping a b16a2 motor in to my car is all the wiring the same or do i need a SI wiring harness i know i need the ECU witch i have already but other than that anything else i need to take car of.
Another question is the 99 Ex ecu the same as 96-98 EX

for those of us that dont mind answering questions, you can use the ex harness you may have to extend some wires. A 96-98 ecu is obd2a a 99-00ex ecu is obd2b. there is a difference in the plug ins and what not. You may want to switch to obd1 via a jumper harness for more options with ecus if not then a pct civic type-r ecu, itr ecu, and a us spec si ecu are your options running dual cam setup

b16a2 and d16y8 out of 99ex are both obd2b. u can use a p2t ecu like u said u already have. i wouldn't go obd1 unless you're planning on retuning it or going turbo. if you plan on running stock then stay ob2b.
