Default valves meet piston at 9000rpms

ok i have a big problem my valves hit the pistons in cylinder 1 and 4 and now i need new pistons but i was wondering if itr oversized will fit my block. right now i got JE 12.5.1 comp. in right now part# 99231-4 can anyone confirm that itrs oversized would fit. i would get the same pistons i got now but im broke

how come you need new pistons? Did you drop a valve? or did you just bend some valves? have you taken it apart ?

Looking at the JE catalog I do not see your part number. Oversize ITR pistons are 81.25mm. What is your bore size, and are your bores o.k.?

yeah i took off the head last weekend and one valve was broken and stuck and one of the valve guides are fucked up. the part number is listed on the crower site. and it doesnt say the bore size on there. and my bores are fine

If you replace the JE's with oem, you better clay! The itr's will have less clearance than the JE.

really? but the dome on my piston is alot bigger then the dome on the itrs

Its not the domes so much as the valve reliefs. Most aftermarket forged pistons have larger than stock reliefs.

Did you float a valve?? Are you running aftermarket valve springs?? How high did you rev??

ok my set up is JE 12.5.1 pistons .20 over crower stage 3 cams crower valve springs and retainers and omni power flat valves and my head is also ported and polish
