audio problem.....radio face or speakers?!?!?!?!?!?!....HELP!!!!!!!!
hey whats up fellas.......first off......i know little about radios, speakers and audio in general...i know enough that i connected my whole system (amp, sub, speakers , radio install, satellite radio install)....just to give you guys a heads up.......
panasonic radio face
no front speakers
rockford 6x9 components
10' kicker sub
alpine amp for sub only
sirius satellite
this setup has been in my car for about 2 years with the exception of this sub (less then a year)...............and 6x9's (about 3 years)
within the last 2 weeks i say my rear 6x9's cut off.....if i have the radio up for a while, the the sound starts to crack, distort, then just cut off......the amp stays on along with the subthe whole time and have no problem.....
if i shut the radio off for a while and i mean a while, i can put it back on and everything works fine....when i turn it up, music sound clear and fine until this occurs again
is this my speakers taking a doo doo or something with the radio face?......i just want to know so i spend my money on the right thing...thanx for all feedback

Speakers are normally not intermittent, they work or they don't work or they work but sound shitty all the time.
My guess would be the amp is going into protect mode, or you have a problem with power or ground connections.
The first thing to check is all the power and ground connections, and if you have the glass type fuse on the power lead for the amp replace it, even if it looks good.
The other possibility is the VC of a speaker, [one or both] is burnt/damaged and shorts out the amps output, [when volume turned up] sending amp into protect mode, you will have to pull the speakers and manually test them.

yeah but the 6x9's aren't connected to an amp.......just simple replace of factory speakers
if you're looking to spend money how about putting some front speakers in? i dont understand why you replaced the rears and not the fronts.
Same differance, and they are connected to an amp, it just happens to be an internal/on board amp, check the power and grounds of the HU, the HU also has a protection circuit that shuts down the HUs amp it the outputs "see" a short or very low impedance, I would also check any speaker wiring wiring for front speakers.
