turbo help
Im seriously considering going FI on my b16a2.
Im planning on goin stock internals, so i only wanna run about 8 psi maybe even less, so i dont need anything fancy.
I just want to know where can i get a cheap turbo, everyone says you can find one for 1000$, but i so far didnt have any luck coming across any of those yet. thanks.

You need to read the stickies in the FI forum.
Your goal shouldn't be measured in Psi, it should be measured by whp.
If you want a cheap turbo, keep an eye out on ebay, the marketplace, and craigslist for GOOD turbos, Greddy, turbonetics, air-research, peakboost, etc.

i understand, but i never was a big turbo fan so i dont know much about em.
i just know my buddy purchased a 2000 civic si and runs 6 psi and it really hauls ***.
i'm also taking superchargers into consideration, have any opinions about that?

a b16 on 6 psi isnt all that. cost depends on what kinda quailty you want your kit to be and turbo size depends on what you want to do and how much power you want to make. for a stock b16 running 8-12 lbs id run a .58a/r. but thats just me. a b16 is only a single vtec with one extra cam...dont epect to make alot of power on 8 lbs...especially on a fmu. good luck with your turbo kit

SC's are Only cheaper if you get them for free. i've never seen a SC kit for less than $2500
SC's are a bad idea on smaller displacement motor though, there's a reason 99.9% of FI hondas are turbo'd.

the main reason to go turbo instead of sc is that it takes power to make power with a supercharger and face it our hondas dont do it justice, on the other hand turbo uses spent exhasut gasses to make power instead of putting a more parasitic drag on your motor by adding another belt to your mototr to push air. Turbos are considerably cheaper too. I just sold a descent kit for 700, as for what you are going to need to do that, i would invest in fuel management of some sorts some bigger injectors, fuel pump, and a thicker headgasket (like a 2mil from buddyclub) and you could run 10-12 safely on a good tune. good luck
