Default What's wrong with my engine?

I have a B17a Gsr and i'm having poor gas mileage. When i accelerate it begins to pause at about 3200 RPM or so and doesn't seem powerful for a Vtec. Just bought the car recently and i don't think the last owner gave enough TLC . Anyone have any suggestions on my motor problem?

Yea, a tuneup might just do the trick, but a bad cat can also make your car hesitate like that. My 00 prelude had a bad cat and it would struggle at low rpm's, around 3 k... and I would have to punch it for it to move...

A valve adjustment is also most likely needed.
