classic transmission problem?
Ok, I'm really stuck now as to how to resolve this. I have the typical "can't get it into gear while car is running" syndrome. It started one day when I was driving home and it was difficult, but still possible to shift into gear. I took extra care to shift properly.
The next day I wasn't able to shift it into gear at all when the engine was running. The clutch slave was going out and my fluid level had dropped. I order and replace the clutch master and clutch slave cylinders, properly adjust the pedal height, and bleed the system. All is well and I drive it all day with no problem.
Next day I can't get it into gear again -- $#&^%! I was pissed. I double check everything again and it seems fine. I needed to replace the throwout bearing so I figure what the hell, I might as well do this now. So I do that and reassemble everything. Clutch hydraulic system is bled again but for some reason the system doesn't gravity bleed like it used to. I thought this was odd.
I wind up taking the entire hydraulic system off again to inspect it -- master, slave, lines, etc. It seems to be fine, no build-up of crap, and it seems to bleed alright if the slave isn't bolted up to the bell housing with the pushrod pushing on the throwout fork. Or at least I think it bled alright. I bought some cheap DOT4 fluid to just flush through the clutch lines and it seems to be fine.
Basically the clutch isn't fully disengaging, and that's my problem. I was able to gravity bleed the hydraulic system before and now it doesn't respond like it did before. Should I suspect the new slave cylinder again? Additionally, I'm 99% sure they are, but humor me on this one... all B series clutch masters and clutch slaves are interchangeable, correct?

I took a look at the clutch surface and pressure plate when I had the tranny off for the throwout bearing replacement and they both looked fine. It's an ACT clutch, only 8k miles on it! The whole clutch kit and flywheel were new when installed...

Could that possibly lead to them stripping/wearing down the bolts, making them hard, or even near impossible to remove?

The fact that it worked fine for a day leads me to believe that the new slave and/or master are faulty. Where did you purchase them? Remans or new?

Both brand new from hondaautomotiveparts.com, and neither appears to be leaking now. I know it's possible, but it's not often at all that a brand new part fails in 24 hours

you cant adjust an aftermarket clutch to stock height, I just put in a 6 puck that would not go in gear when the pedal was to the floor, I let it out 1/2 in and shifted smooooth, you need to adjust the rod on the back of your clutch pedal
Never stated I adjusted it to stock height... I actually have the pushrod of the master cylinder threaded as far out as it's going to go without it actually falling off.
bump for you, I'm having the same problem!
thing is (and I'm wondering if you saw this on yours), in the morning there's always a small puddle of clutch fluid from directly below my slave cylinder.

If you're tightening the bleeder enough, and the hydraulic line fitting isn't leaking due to improper installation, then the part is faulty.

Yea, ditto on that -- sounds faulty. Mine doesn't leak at all. I'm almost disappointed that it doesn't leak because at least then I'd have an explanation for it.

well i never changed mine, just did swap last week and it started leaking. also, 1st gear is hard to engage anything past first few mins of driving.

I had the same problem with 1st but I dealt with it. I drove it for 5 months like that with no other significant issue though. Maybe a bent shift fork..? I effin hope not...

No offense but I highly doubt that the cables returned back to normal or the linkage unbent itself. Mine's been sitting for 2 months... still hasn't fixed itself. I'm not happy about that time frame.
