Default too low compression for tune??

recently my car (b18c turbo) has been feeling weak. runs relative fine but it feels like the car is losing power. it running a crome pro basemap 7psi on p28. i was thinking of tuning it but i just did a compression test earlier can came up with about 160psi all across and with oil 190psi all across. before the test without oil ran: cyl1&4:200, cyl2&3:190. should i invest in on a rebuilt or will the tune be a better choice..

thats fine, with the compression test you are looking for difference in compression between cylinder, rather than just high numbers. 160 even across is just fine. Get it tuned!! A base map is intended for you to get the car running healthy before you take it to the tuner, that means no leaks no bs, but a base map is not optimized for your settings, and in most cases unsafe to beat on.

i would do a leakdown test as well. i would invest in a good rebuild kit since you are losing comp on all your cylinders

did you hold the throttle down while cranking? if not, that's why your comp is 160.

never thought of that. back in fall i did the test and got high numbers, now nearly a 30psi drop. the car is @ 152,000 miles so i don't expect much. i guess i'll just get it tuned @ 7psi for now. i baby the car and barly beat on the damn thing. I'll try another test with open throttle if it makes a difference.
