Default Greddy Kit from y8 to y7.

from a greddy turbo kit that was on a d16y8 motor on a ex coupe, would the kit fit into a ej6 hatch w/d16y7?

someone correct me if im wrong but I believe the IM on both motors are different. I believe the IM on my sisters y8 comes out the side, and on my y7 I believe it came out the top...if memory serves me correct. If thats the case the charge pipes will need to be changed

that is correct, but I would imagine that he could simply get the silicone elbow that you use to hook up a cold air intake to the y7 manifold for like 15 bux.

correct. Actually you'll need a 90 degree hard pipe and 2 straight couplers, that's it. The upper charge pipe will fall about 8" too short from the Y7s vertical TB

And you will likely need to cut a hole in the passenger side fender area for the charge pipe to come up. The Y8 equipped cars have a resonator box, while the Y7 equipped cars don't even have the hole.
