Sony XM-554ZR Xplod 600 Watt 4-Channel Amplifier . I will use for my sony speakers with 35watts RMS. Am I just wasting my money if I decided to get it? Where do you guys buys your car audio stuff? From the internet? Where?

 

well is a sony, not on the top of the list for wanted car gear. But if that's what your budget allows go ahead and do it. Make sure all is installed correctly and you should have no problems. Your not going to win any sound contest but can achieve some nice sounds.

 

there are better amps to buy for the money. Xplod amps when I used to sell them lived up to thier name.

if u find an authorized dealer in your area the new kenwood excelon amps are nice for the cash. two year warranty cleaner than a sony and a damping factor of 140 (double that of a sony)
x-40 is the 4 channel

 

What do you think of this combinations? Which one is better?

Okay, here's what I'm thinking getting 1) get 2 sets of Polk DB650 for Front and Rear and add this amp http://www.crutchfield.com/S-c...AP740 and if I decided to add a sub I'm thinking about this one http://www.crutchfield.com/S-c...ANDP8 or this one http://www.crutchfield.com/S-c...T6014 I'm not sure which one is better. I'm not a big fan of bass, I don't want bass that will shake the whole car.

Get this component speaker http://www.crutchfield.com/S-c...B6500 for my front and get the amp that I mentioned above. Do I need to upgrade my rear speaker (I have Sony XS-V1621 6.5 35watts RMS). Again thanks for all the info that you have given to me.
