a friend of mine owed me money, so he gave me two 10" sony xplods in an enclosure, and a 1200watt sony xplod amp. there ok, but i dont like them that much. this was my first system so im new to this. anyway i wanna take them out and get new subs, i ws thinkin two MTX thunder 5500s and idk about that amp, what do you guys think?

thats not really a step up, or not much of one. a faceplate is the detachable part of the radio, I think u are trying to say deck.
For subs get something un-regulated, like a rockford or kicker, or if crutchfield still has the MB quart amps for sale buy one of those.
