new member got a couple questions
hey im new to the whole car thing. I have a 04 civic lx. Im attempting to put a new air filter that a friend of mine gave me. I got the top cover of the air filter out and i have the actual filter and black peice that goes around it out. im not sure how to get the part that it sits in out. its one of the cone type of filters so im positive it has to come out... any help would be greatly appreicated.
should be 2 or 3 screws you take out holding it down... u should see them once you have the cover and the stock filter out... if u dont see them feel around under the box
lol this is why im not good at this ****. there is 1 screw that is upside down thats the one that i really have no clue to get at cause i dont know where it is underneath and does this mean i have to jack my car up to get under to get the screw?
you shouldnt have to... i installed my Injen Intake in an autozone parking lot in 20min w/ a socket and wrench i borrowed from autozone lol...... back in my rice days i was so excited to get an intake that i couldnt even wait to get home and install it....
i think its 3 screws but I don't remember where exactly they are... i installed mine almost 2 years ago. They're there.... just not sure where lol

there's a couple of 10mm bolts that you'll have to feel around for, under the box that goes over the throttle body is like a o-ring that you need to loosen, i think it's held with a 10mm also, or a phillips screwdriver.
not hard, feel your way around.

If you have no clue on where the bolts are then why are you working on your car? You should have one of your buddies come over and help you to show you how to do this proper so you don't do anything wrong from being unexpierenced, but hey keep at bro, you will have the know how of turning wrenches down in no time, just have some common sense on when your in over your head.
