ok ive searched the forums and couldnt find anything on this so... ok so i pulled my motor out of my friends ek.. his was a 98 ex.... swapped it into my 98 cx .... and now the bad boy wont start.. i personally drove his car before we pulled the motor and it ran perfect no problems.. alltho it did have a retarted *** turbo kit that he didnt kno what he was doing with.. but besides the point ok so i did the complete changeover from his car into mine.. allmotor instead of turboed and now it wont start.. EVERYthing is exactly the same as his.. i even tryed my stock cx harness.. put new spark plugs in.. its gettin spark.. but the only wierd thign is that it will only start when the firing order is all mixed up.. then it runs only 3 cylinders liek doO DOO.. it will start but we have to hold the throttle and when we let go it released a loud fart slash gunshot noise!! and when i put it on the correct firing order it wont even start.. it attempts to turn over but wont catch enough spark or somthing.. by the way the timing is dead on

 

are you running the same ecu as was in the other car??

 

yes i am.. its a obd2a to obd1 jumper with a chipped p28.. also tryed my stock cx ecu..

 

what the foooooooook! bump.. the only thing i havnt tried is a new dizzy........... but i still dont get why it would go out in the process of pulling the motor out..!!!

WHEN THE FIRING ORDER IS COMPLETELY BACKWORDS IT STARTS ON 3 CYLINDERS.. THEN IF WE DONT HOLD THROTTLE IT DIES AND BACKFIRES HELLA LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its gettin fuel.. the injectors are right order.. what could the problem be besides dizzy?

if problem with the ignition system. please check fuse under dash.

next would be ignition coil. then the ignition module.

 

i will try that when i get off work.. arg obd2 fuse plugs are so small
