01 prelude turbo..hits vtec feels like its then picks back up?

Default 01 prelude turbo..hits vtec feels like is slows then picks back up

Like the tile says. It will rip all the way to vtec hit then it throws you foward a bit..then it starts to pull again. my buddy who tuned said he notice anything but i can feel it when i drive

If ur tuner cant feel it and u can, put it on a dyno.

definetly in the tuning...

your tuner probably didnt get the fuel tables right for vtec...
IMO, id be lookin for a new tuner.. this guy doesnt know what hes doing...

did you have a wideband in? or on the dyno? what is the A/F like? around 4500-6000

it would totally depend on the setup!!

injectors, spool time/turbo size....
its something that has to be played with

its about to get rebuild with a new bottom end. ill just wont hit vtec in it to be safe.

with a good tune, no reason why you couldnt do it on a stock block....

but its not a psi level, its HP that you set your goals at..

these h22 arent the best for boost. Id like a saftey point when make a street car. shooting close to 400whp

theres a local one here that ran 2 years on a 100 shot of nitrous, beat on at the track constantly...
and now has 430whp for 2 years in a row also beat on at the track...
stock h22....11.6 @ 119 mph a couple weeks ago...

i think you are the one that needs a search...

any motor is only as good as the tuning and quality of the turbo setup...

built or not...


what year is your h22? whats stamped on it?

It a h22a4 open deck block. The stock piston are the weak part of this motor.
