Default oil pan gasket

does anyone know how much it costs to change the oil pan gasket for a DA at the shop?...

why dont you do it yourself? only few tools needed, and time.

all you have to do is remove oil and 7-8 bolts.

oh really?....thought it was hard...someone told me that theres a lot of bolts...i never changed one before.....just wondering if anyone had it done at the shop n how much was it

drain out your oil un bolt it. take old gasket off or scrap it off if its fuked. put new one on and bolt it on. replace oil.

It really is that simple. Drain the oil. Unbolt the drain plug (17mm). Loosen the oil pan bolts (10mm I believe) and scrape off the residue the old gasket left behind. Put the new gasket into the oil pan seal and bolt the oil pan bolts back. Don't forget the drain plug and 4.2ish fresh quarts of oil .

its alot more then 7to8 boplts on the oil pan and the easy way to do it for a *** for the frist time would to be take down the headers so he has a clear veiw of whats going on ....... other then that everything sounds right

Um, you mean header, and why, thats more work, when he can just jack the car up...
