Default EK Suspension into an EG...Anyone done this before?

Hey guys,

I might get a killer deal on TEIN SS coilovers, but it is for an EK and I have a 92 EG hatch. I know the front shocks are direct bolt on fork EK and EG's, just the rear shocks are a bit different. I read that to make the rear shocks work, I have to grind the bushings on my EG LCA. Luckily, I have spare EG LCA kicking around in my garage. Is there a certain measurement on how far I have grind the bushings on my stock LCA to fit the EK shocks? Or as long as the rear EK shocks fit on my LCA...is this good enough? Also, since I have to use a grinder for this. I am worried that I might damage or somehow break the bushings on my stock LCA's. Is there a certain method on how to properly grind the bushings? Sorry for the long post. Thanks for all your inputs :D .

in the past, ive bent the EK rear shocks open a bit more wider so it would fit over the LCA

Just save up a bit more and get the right suspension parts for your gen. You may even get a good deal on HT marketplace

I'm not 100% positive, but I've read with the eg's you have to switch out the LCA bolts and modify some part of it to get it to work.

I think Shocks should be more universal than the springs, but unless it's a full coilover setup you can switch those.
