ek shocks on eg?
lowering friends car with new shocks and found out that the shocks are for a ek so they wont fit his lca's. so he orderd new lca's(tcp i think) for a ek. will the new lca work or will they totaly not fit. from i know only the middle bushings are not the same but i could be wrong.

u can put EG shocks on an EK, but not vice versa. The EK rear LCA's are longer than the EG's, so it wont fit. I believe if u change out the lower shock bushing on the EG's LCA to one from an EK, it should fit. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: ek shocks on eg? (vizsual00)
actually ek shocks will work on an eg you just need to grind down the bushing on the eg lca....this is on the rear...
and to put eg rear shocks on an ek you need to shim the rear shocks on the lca....
ek = thinner rear lca bushing..
eg= thicker rear lca bushing...

Correct. The EH shock mount bushings are 50mm wide, while the EJ shock mount bushings are 40mm wide. The diameter, howewever, is the same on both @ 37mm, so its best to press the appropriate bushings in, instead of grinding or shimming.
