Default EK Shocks on EG?

Ok, thought I'd try here, to see of anyone knows how to do it. The fronts should fit the same, but the rears. What has to be modified. Post if you *know* the answer, not heard about someone's brother's friends say his buddie's brother did this or that.

you might have to change out the rear lca. I did one install that just bolted on, and another that required the rear lca. I really didn't notice much difference between lca's so I am guessing that the kid did something to the shocks to make them require the lca.

I have Coilovers meant for an EK on my EG. I had to shave/cut off some the bushing where the shock bolts up to the LCA, since the Bottom of the EK shocks are narrower than the EG shocks

thanks for the feedback. This is what I have heard from others, but wanted to make double sure before I spent all that cash on coil overs.

Someone else said it I think. Take an angle grinder to the bushing( a little off each side of the bushing) until the shock fits. I did it. IM me for questions. Also, the front EG shocks have a brake line mount on the shock body, the EK doesn't. You'll have to rig something up.

EK struts onto EG.

That's what this thread is about.

Fronts are the same.

I have EK Konis on my 1992 CX. All I had to do was grind down the lower control arms in the rear where the strut fork bolts through, because the EK struts are more narrow on the fork part.

I have the Energy suspension piecs in, so I just took a bandsaw and trimmed a bit off of each side, but if you have the stock bushings with the metal insert in there you'll need to grind it away until the EK strut fork slides over.

Thanks for the help. I actually have ES bushings as well, so I will just do this mod, sounds easy.
