catch can filling up
11:5:1 comp ls.vtec
just under 1000 miles on it.. i notice that im getting quite a bit of oil in the catch can..
last night i filled the oil to full and this morning it was about 1/4 qt low
its not smoking out of the exhaust or anything just going into the catch can
i have the oem honda fittings on the back of the block and no return on it

You would probably be better off venting from the valve cover and vent/return from the back. But I don't think you should be making that much vapor NA.Either you have a lot of blowby or your running high oil temps.

Some thing is wrong.
Two years ago i had the same problem. We were having a lot of blow by to the catch can. We had to top up min 0.5Liter oil every one hour non-stop race else we will get oil starvation and vtec won't open. Car was not smoking too.
We check everything and came to 2 conclusion.
1. Bad valve seal causing air leak and pressure to valve cover.
2. Too loose a cylinder bore causing higher pressure blow by through the valve seal.
I don't know if it made sense but this what we think.
The next engine build we run a tighter piston to wall clearance and 100% OEM Honda Valve seal and solve the problem.

well my ring gap is very tight and to oem spec
also i just had a valve job done.. car runs good and drives good
im thinking im gonna try some different block fittings like endyns see if that does anything

Currently I have my OEM valve cover hole open to atmosphere seems fine, never any oily residue around it so I would guess i do not have a blow-by problem. I am not sure why so many guys have problems with the cans filling and others do not.
well im not gonna put VC fittings on this cover i just bought it brand new
i may just end up doing a return on it or trying some different block fittings
