Driver's side axle shaft re-installation
I had no problems at all re-installing the passenger side axle shaft and then installing the knuckle back onto the LCA. However, the driver's side is causing problems. I believe I have the axle shaft as far in as it will allow into the intermediate shaft. However, when I spin the intermediate shaft by hand, the axle boot spins and if the intermediate shaft spins any further, it looks as though it would rip the boot off. The passenger side is fine. Also, I have yet to attach the driver's side knuckle back onto the LCA, as the lower ball joint threads will not fall into the LCA. Am I just being paranoid due to having to finish before it starts to rain, or could I have separated the CV joint during removal/install, or is the axle shaft not completely inserted into the intermediate shaft?

I think I got it. I was probably just thinking the worst of a situation when I did not need to. Got the lower arm ball joint in and damper fork torqued down and everything looks fine. Do I have the driver's side axle shaft in all the way?
I apologize for the crappy digital camera. First pic is without flash & the second is with flash turned on.

The shiny ploished part needs to be almost all the way in. I looked at my axle and I can barely see 1-2mm of the shiny part.
