Default just put in new head

i just put a new head in my integra...its not starting...it sounds like its about to start but it like gargles at the end after i crank it..changed spark plug...its not my distributer....my fuses are ok and fuel pump is ok...anyone have an idea of whats wrong with it?

hmmm gargled?
can you describe it in another way?

are you sure the timing is correct?

is it combusting? does it shake violently or anything?

answer these questions as best you can for me.

hmm...didnt do the timing yet...maybe thats it but i doubt it....it doesnt shake the whole car....when i turn over the key to start it...it cranks then i let go of the key the it kinda like gargles...like it needs a little more juice for it to start...

did u put the rocker arms back correctly? if not tune your valves to spec. it could be a lil to tight.

It sounds like he bought a head and just put it on his car without doing any kind of checking?

Did you send it to a machine shop to make sure it's not warped? Why would you not do the timming? Did you atleast get the timming marks correct?

This just sounds like bad news all over.

the head is good...came off of a motor i knew...today someone did the timing for me....now it sounds like its going to start even more but fire shoots out of the head where the headers go when i crank it...anyone had this problem before?...oh yeah it sounds like dropping water...like "blop blop blop" or something like that near the headers part..and fire comming out lol....the headers are not on

Why the hell don't you have the header on??

And it Really sounds like your timing is off though,
I've heard two engines "gargle" before when the timing was off.
