Default Window sliding down . . . regulator?

I have a 2000 EX coupe (power windows) and the passenger side window used to go up and down, but when it reached the top, it would click and bounce like it didn't know where to stop. Then one day it just wouldn't go down anymore. Now the window has slid down about an inch, just far enough for there to be a small space for water to get it when it rains and for it to be loud as hell when I drive. You can pull the window back up, but it falls down again to the same place within minutes. Does this sound like the motor has just gone out, or does the whole regulator need to be replaced? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.
