which ecu harness do I need?
Putting and OBD1 ecu into my car, I have a 98 civic hb with jdm b16a(2) swapped. I see harnesses for sale that are either listed as OBD1A or OBD1B. want to make sure i get the right harness for this ECU. Incase its important its a chipped P28 ecu.
why don't you just get a conversion harness for obd2a to obd1? as far as i can tell you there is no difference between obd1a and obd1b in fact i've never really heard of that, maybe A and B mean for auto or manual? or vtec and non-vtec? i dunno.
It's OBD2A and OBD2B 96-98 civics use the OBD2A plugs, the 99-00 use the OBD2B plugs. Round up a OBD2A to OBD1 jumper harness and you will be fine.
You will still need to rewire the distributor and the alternator.
