CEL 67 Question (gutted cat)
I gutted out my cat the other day and my cel came on so i reset the ecu and it went away but it came back today. I checked it and it was 67 just as I thought it would be. My question is will that make the car run rich or retard the timing or anything? I'm going down to the track tomorrow and don't want that **** to be affecting my car's performance. Any help is appreciated.. btw, does anyone know an easy fix for that?
Your CEL will always be on because your gutted cat. Take out the o2 sensor and wrap it with tin foil. Then wrap it with eletrical tape. Zip tie it onto the sway bar.
Plug up the hole in the cat. Reset the ECU and your CEL will never come back on.

but if i don't do anything about it (going turbo in August) will it run perfectly normal? I can deal with the light until August when i put on the DP w/my hondata.

so the tin foil trick actually works? just wrap it up with foil and let it hang there?
