Default quick IACV question

when you unplug your iacv, does ur idle suppose to drop and stall out? or does the idle start the surge? when i took mine out, it started to surge, and i am having a little idle problem so i would like to know if its my IACV.

it should throw a MIL and drop way low, but not die OR 'surge'

unplugging is actually part of the idle set procedure.

if it still surges after the iacv is unplugged, then you can bet it's a vac leak!
