Today i was driving my lude to my g/f place and on the way a fuking driveshaft fell out of a truck and i didnt hvae time to swirve and as i ran over it, it cracked open something under my car and all you see is the oil light come on. Thats the time when I said hell fuking no! OMG OMG! You fuking trucks!

Pulled over and yes oil spilling like a ****! Towed away...... no car for a while.

How much do you all think it'll cost to repair this? Depending on the crack size? I couldnt get under the car to take a look but yeh im depressed.

if it hacked up your oil pan and NOTHING else and your car was turned off immediately... probably just an oil pan, maybe the pickup in the pan too.

if, somehow it cracked your block... you're looking at a new motor

i don't know shop labor rates so i couldn't even guesstimate. DIY

 

I dont have a garage or anything to jack my car up that high to get under. bloody spewing.
yeh once the light came on i drived it like 100m b4 coming to a complete stop and turned off the car asap. was doing like 80km at the time so yeh.
I hope its just the oil pan. its getting fixed at the mechanics at the moment

haha i dont think so either but he said it fell OUT of the truck, not OFF of it. Im assuming he means that the truck was carrying it?

 

Yeh it was a company that has metal parts in the back on his truck. the truck didnt get too far because that drive shaft punctured his gas tank and all diesel gas was leaking. it could of been a disaster.

Witht he truck drivers insurance company, i hav to send a statement covering all the costs for my mechanical repiars and they'll pay me back for it. I aint gonna wait around for this, so im fixing it up first and keep all the receipts and send it over to the company and they'll have to pay me back!

 

if its jsut a new pan. then no more then 200. btw, do it urself, its not that hard if u kno how to use tools. but if the engine is fucked, then maybe around 2000 for an engine. and i dunno how much the labor will cost on that. but my friend and i did his with little problems.
