pcv valve - Black box **need helms page**
Hi everyone, I recently turboed my civic and I am having some trouble with my oilpan gasket, rear main seal and possible my valve cover gasket.
I also have a bit of an erratic idle once the car is warmed up going from 900 and steady to 500 and almost dying every minute or so.
I am not sure but I think I may have an issue with my pcv valve not opening and closing as it should and I would like to have a look at it and possible clean/replace it.
The car is only making about 140whp and it's a 6 psi on a t3/t04e 46 trim turbonetics so my understanding is a valve cover breather and a good functioning pcv system should suffice.
Does anyone have a printout from a helms manual of where I can find the pcv valve on a sohc zc or (d16a6) and possibly how to disconnect it without breaking it.
I searched and the older archived threads don't have pics that work anymore.
Thx!

the PCV valve is behind the fuel rail right up on top - follow the large hose coming off the front of the intake manifold (in the center between the 2 smaller hoses) which goes to the PCV valve
is it better to get access to it from the bottom or from the top?
I currently have the downpipe off as well as the bracket between the block and intake manifold.
If I go at it from the top do I have to remove the fuel rail?

bot wouldnt a working pcv valve and black box with a breather off the vc be enough at this low boost lvl?
A friend had the same engine in the same car with the same system and he was making about 50whp more and never had this issue
