Default knock sensor boot

I'm trying to get my knock sensor plugged in on my 93 civic lx. The sensor is in the block but the connector is dissconnected. The boot seems like it makes the connector impossible to get on. Any suggestions?

Trying to get it on? break that dryrotted boot up into lil' pieces and trow it away... Then you will be able to plug it in... If you are refering to the one wire sensor on the back of the block...

Thats not the knock sensor, its the oil pressure sending unit plug, the knock sensor has a two pin plastic gray plug with one wire in it....

take a touch of oil to the inside of the boot.
