spoon makes that filter because (i believe) that they arent allowed to run an aftermarket intake, so they just use a high-flow drop-in filter. thats why their b-series intake is just a little kevlar arm thingie
either way: just get a cold air intake... youll get better results with it

yea coLd air is the best way but then again your giving up throttLe response and you run the risk of hydroLocking ur car. (http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=131320)

drop in fiLter you wont notice that many gains but it wiLL sound "cooLer"

but again u do run the risk of aLLowing dirt and other stuff to pass

only real downsides to a cold air... i wonder if i can get a j's racing/passwordjdm intake for integras/civics to fit on the rsx and see how it performs

But im almost positive I heard somewhere that the spoon drop in filter makes like 5whp or something like that. CAI's arent that only way to make power, just another way to lose low end power. They make better power up top which, if taking the chance of hydrolock and losing your low end doesnt matter to you a CAI is perfect.

Youll get better gains across the board with a box type intake and you wont take the risk of screwing yourself over. Your best bet is to keep your stock intake box, get a comptech, spoon, mugen or even KandN drop in filter, gut your stock box via hondata intake box mod and get a air intake duct which will give you around the same gains as a Mugen Air Box without spending 700 bucks. YOu can also get a Comptech Intake box, ARC induction box or the Mugen one, but if your on a budget or just dont want to spends lots of cashola do what was listed above.

i believe that j's racing has an intake out for the jdm dc5r. it doesnt fit the usdm rsx's because it hits the brake booster and master cylinder. its not the same intake as shown in the picture

http://www.evasivemotorsports....de=EM

edit: i was thinking of the gruppe-m intake, which j's racing uses on their cars

This is the worse designed intake i have EVER seen. I hope people don't buy that Crappy **** intake. That's like trying to use a garden hose and then all of a sudden cram it down into a straw.

I love the way they tried to disable the right click.. LMAO

That wouldn't go in an actual race car. It would go into something that is made to look like a race car for car shows.

seems like that design was to increase intake velocity.

Seems like it, but in reality it is overpriced carbon fiber bling. Probably would get the same gains from a length of dryer hose.
