Im Running a LS/VTEC Turbo setup and my oil pressure is set at 80psi at 6500rpm and i heard that with my T series turbo i shouldnt run that high of a oil pressure and i should install a oil restrictor because at that pressure it tends to damamge the turbo seals...........?

 

So whats the question? Do you need a restrictor.... YES

 

Your oil pressure reading at the block is not the same at the feed line. Checking the feed line (-3AN) at its oil pressure there is most recommended. Some turbos may require and additional restriction. others may not. depends upon the turbocharger used as well.
