mine just came in yesterday and I'm working on installing it. I have the LX though so there is a silver plastic ring that the boot is attached to and that attaches to the ****. So I'm working on taking that off. And the **** doesn't line up so the shift pattern is sideways. Maybe I should just get the twm shift **** in the satin finish so it matches that little ring and I don't have to worry about a shift pattern lining up. IDK

i put a white t-shirt over it when i leave my car. it helps keep it cool.
a1staecksauce the shift pattern does line up. tighten the locking nut all the way down on the threads. align the shift **** until the pattern is straight. then turn the bottom locking nut counter-clockwise until it is snug against the ****.

that shouldnt take TOO long. just snip away the ziptie inside.
but i have the same problem with numbers lining up. when i use the locking nut the shift **** sits HIGH AS HELL!!!.. i can press my a/c while in 3rd.
so for now im rolling around with upside down numbers. i dont really care much about the numbers as long as the **** is low
the **** has deep threads so i can screw it on til its low. but when using the locking nut it stops it.
ill post pics later

exactly, thats why I dont want to use the locking nut. If I do use it it sits higher than the stock shift ****. So I'll just live with the numbers being a little sideways.
