welll my car jumped timing and im not sure what to do... one of my friends said i have to take off the head and get the valves and everything matched up to the cam gear... then make sure the piston closer to the cam gear is all the way up and then put the timing belt back on.... is this right or im i missing something?

 

thats close but u need to search been covered many times.

 

You need to retime the engine, and use a torque wrench when adjusting the tensioner. Pick up a cheap repair manual for the car from Checkers, Pep Boys, etc., to get the procedure.

 

what makes you think the motor jumped time????????????

 

my buddy looked at it when we were trying to figure it out and he said it jumped.... i going to get a book and borrow the tools i need... im trying to finish it so i can put the turbo kit on it

 

I don't realy see the motor jumping time... but if it did chances are the head and pistons are junk now.....
